Vaara Reindeer Farm is an old, family-owned reindeer farm in Ranua, where reindeer husbandry has continued uninterrupted for five generations. We live and work close to nature, respecting old traditions and the rhythm of the animals - animal welfare is close to our hearts and the basis of everything we do.
We welcome you to visit the reindeer farm and learn about life on the farm - you can feed the reindeer, take photos and hear stories of reindeer husbandry over the decades. We also offer a variety of reindeer safaris in the heart of nature, from short trips to longer experiences. You can also enjoy a traditional sauteed reindeer dinner on request in the hut.
You can also buy genuine reindeer antlers from us, and in the future you can treat yourself in our small shop when it opens - offering hot drinks, treats and homemade crafts.
